Chelsea manager planning 2nd transfer

10 January 2012 - 05:29

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is planning to bring in a second player after securing the services of Bolton defender Gary Cahill. According to reports, Chelsea could be in the market for a striker in the transfer window.

 • Man Utd expecting €80m boost with double player sale
 • Confirmed Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs PSG, Mamadou Sarr starts
 • Villas-Boas said: "Apart from a central defender, we might get one more player in but we're not sure yet.
"It's always difficult. The top talent is normally cup-tied in the Champions League or in different domestic competitions and it's difficult for the selling club to make players available.
"Normally it's a market where you overpay a lot and that's what we don't want to do now.
"That's why we have set out not to do a lot in the transfer window."
