Man City have been offered <span>Alexander Merkel as part of an exchange package that will see Carlos Tevez leave the Etihad Stadium for AC Milan. The Kazakhstan-born midfielder has been offered as a makeweight in a permanent deal for the Argentine.</span>
<span>According to reports from Italy, AC Milan look set to sign Tevez in the coming weeks; with the forward desperate to find a new club before the end of January.</span><br />
<span><span>Alexander Merkel has represented the German under-20 side once, and has already made several appearances for the full AC Milan side since forcing his way into first team contention in 2009. The player is co-owned by Genoa.</span></span>
