Manchester City to sign Alexander Merkel?
Man City have been offered Alexander Merkel as part of an exchange package that will see Carlos Tevez leave the Etihad Stadium for AC Milan. The Kazakhstan-born midfielder has been offered as a makeweight in a permanent deal for the Argentine.
According to reports from Italy, AC Milan look set to sign Tevez in the coming weeks; with the forward desperate to find a new club before the end of January.
Alexander Merkel has represented the German under-20 side once, and has already made several appearances for the full AC Milan side since forcing his way into first team contention in 2009. The player is co-owned by Genoa.
