Kolarov to quit Manchester City for Italy?

14 January 2012 - 07:32

Aleksandar Kolarov has been linked with a shock move away from Manchester City this January, as the defender has grown frustrated at a lack of playing time at the Etihad Stadium. Kolarov has been linked with a move to Italian giants Juventus.

  • Since arriving at City, Aleksandar Kolarov has battled for a first team spot in Roberto Mancini's side, but a wealth of defensive talent has often reduced Kolarov to a place on the substitute's bench.

The 26 year old Serbian international is valued at around 9m GBP by City and Italian side Juventus are currently scouring Europe to find two new defenders to assist in the second half of the Serie A season.

The defender joined Man City for 16m GBP back in 2010, so the Citizens stand to lose a substantial amount of money on their investment should Kolarov quit the club.
