Bolton step closer to Tim Ream move

Bolton step closer to Tim Ream move

18 January 2012 - 07:22

Bolton manager Owen Coyle hopes to finally agree a move for New York Red Bulls defender Tim Ream this week. Bolton are hoping that Ream replaces Gary Cahill who joined Chelsea earlier in the week in a 7 million GBP transfer.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Bolton have reinvested that money to complete a move for American defender Ream, but the Trotters await a decision on a work permit.

“It’s well documented that we are very keen on Tim Ream and we’re hopeful that this week that comes to fruition,” Coyle said.

“In the next few days there will be further dialogue and I’d be very hopeful we could get everything in place to then get the work permit – but the last thing we’d do would be to take that for granted.

“We are certainly pushing on in that respect.”
