Bolton step closer to Tim Ream move

Bolton manager Owen Coyle hopes to finally agree a move for New York Red Bulls defender Tim Ream this week. Bolton are hoping that Ream replaces Gary Cahill who joined Chelsea earlier in the week in a 7 million GBP transfer.

Bolton have reinvested that money to complete a move for American defender Ream, but the Trotters await a decision on a work permit.<br />

&ldquo;It&rsquo;s well documented that we are very keen on Tim Ream and we&rsquo;re hopeful that this week that comes to fruition,&rdquo; Coyle said.<br />

&ldquo;In the next few days there will be further dialogue and I&rsquo;d be very hopeful we could get everything in place to then get the work permit &ndash; but the last thing we&rsquo;d do would be to take that for granted.<br />

&ldquo;We are certainly pushing on in that respect.&rdquo;
