Stoke City rule out Kenwyne Jones exit

20 January 2012 - 04:52

Stoke City supremo Peter Coates has ruled out a January exit for Trinidad and Tobago striker Kenwyne Jones. The 27-year-old has been pursued by Middle Eastern side Al-Hilal.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • According to reports, Jones has been disappointed that Tony Pulis has left him on the bench this season whilst the impressive Peter Crouch has become first choice striker at the Britannia Stadium.

But Peter Coates has no plans to let the forward leave the club: "You always get speculation at this time of year. Kenwyne Jones is a good player who hasn't been playing in every game, so I expect people are taking it from there. But he's a very good player and we want to keep our good players."
