20 January 2012 - 05:11

Queens Park Rangers have moved a step closer to agreeing a deal for Nigerian defender Taye Taiwo on loan from AC Milan until the end of the season. Mark Hughes has agreed a fee with the Italian side for a temporary loan of the player.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip

  • Taiwo is reportedly unhappy in Italy and is currently spending time on the substitutes' bench. According to reports, Mark Hughes has already agreed a fee to take the player on loan for a short period, and Milan will earn approximately 250,000 GBP for the deal to be completed.

The Nigerian had been pursued by Arsenal for two weeks, but the Gunners decided against making a move for a full back.
