Villarreal open Giovani dos Santos talks

Villarreal have opened talks with Tottenham as they look to push through a deal this month for Mexican striker Giovani dos Santos. The striker is desperate for a move to Spain, and the Yellow Submarines are preparing a 5.5 million GBP offer.

According to reports from Spain, discussions with Tottenham are at an advanced stage already, and Villarreal hope to wrap up a move before next Monday.<br />

dos Santos has struggled to find first team action at Spurs, as he found himself far down the pecking order behind the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe; and last month handed in a formal transfer request.<br />

Sevilla are also known to be interested in a move for the Mexican.
