Villarreal open Giovani dos Santos talks

Villarreal have opened talks with Tottenham as they look to push through a deal this month for Mexican striker Giovani dos Santos. The striker is desperate for a move to Spain, and the Yellow Submarines are preparing a 5.5 million GBP offer.

According to reports from Spain, discussions with Tottenham are at an advanced stage already, and Villarreal hope to wrap up a move before next Monday.


dos Santos has struggled to find first team action at Spurs, as he found himself far down the pecking order behind the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe; and last month handed in a formal transfer request.


Sevilla are also known to be interested in a move for the Mexican.
