Tottenham manager rules out deadline moves

Tottenham manager rules out deadline moves

29 January 2012 - 05:11

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp admits that the club are unlikely to make any transfer moves before the end of the month, despite their interest in Marseille frontman Loic Remy and Blackburn winger Junior Hoilett.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Harry Redknapp - currently in the midst of a courtroom battle over reported unpaid tax bills - has been tracking Remy for several months and had been linked with a move for the player. But Remy last week ruled a move away from France out and looks set to stay at the Stade Velodrame for the remainder of the year.

Whilst yesterday, Junior Hoilett also admitted that leaving Blackburn in January would be unlikely.

Redknapp said of any moves before the end of the month: "I can't see an awful lot (happening). I will probably watch a game on Sunday but not with a real eye on anyone, although I'm not going to tell you which match."
