Everton complete Kostas Manolas deal

31 January 2012 - 01:01

Everton have completed a move for Greek defender Kostas Manolas, after a fee of £500,000 has been agreed with AEK Athens. The Toffees have already agreed personal terms with the centre back, who will pen a four year contract at Goodison Park.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • AEK Athens have been struggling financially in recent years, and have been forced to part with some of their best players, and Manolas heads the departures.

Manolas had a 4 million Euro release clause, but the cash strapped club were forced to sell the player cheaply this month.

Everton have beaten Newcastle, Everton and Blackburn to Manolas' signature.
