Sunderland wrap up Wayne Bridge move

Sunderland wrap up Wayne Bridge move

31 January 2012 - 15:17

Sunderland have signed Wayne Bridge on loan until the end of the season. The 31 year old has signed a short term deal with the Black Cats with an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The defender has only played once this year, and Roberto Mancini urged the defender to find a new club earlier in the season.

"I'm hoping that with Wayne's ability and experience he can be a big help," said Black Cats boss Martin O'Neill.

"I'm very pleased to have him here and with the number of injuries we've sustained recently I'm sure he'll be a great help to us."
