Tottenham close in on Louis Saha deal

Tottenham could make a surprise move on transfer deadline day for Everton striker Louis Saha. The French forward is no longer needed at Goodison Park, and will move to White Hart Lane for a fee believed to be in the region of 350,000 GBP.

Saha will sign a short term contract at Spurs, who then have the option to extend his contract for another 12 months in June.<br />

The 33-year-old striker has fallen out of favour at Goodison Park with the imminent arrival of Nikica Jelavic from Rangers.<br />

However, we understand that Tottenham will only make a move for Saha should Russian striker Roman Pavlyuchenko quit Spurs today.
