PSG move for Tevez foiled by salary demands

Paris St Germain's efforts to sign Carlos Tevez failed because of the Argentine's excessive salary demands, according to PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti. The Italian manager had hoped to bring Man City's want away striker to Ligue 1, but a move fell through at the last hurdle.

  • "We spoke with his agent - we wanted to have him - but we couldn't reach an agreement," Ancelotti said.<br />

Now we wait and in the summer transfer window we will have more possibilities. I don't think he'll change his idea about how much he wants to earn."<br />

Paris St Germain are therefore expected to make another offer for Tevez in the summer, and hope to discuss a more affordable package with the striker.
