Arsene Wenger has taken huge criticism this weekend for Arsenal's 2-0 defeat to Sunderland in the FA Cup, and with a seventh season without a trophy staring the Gunners in the face, Wenger has asked his squad to stay strong and unite to ensure Champions League football for another year.
Sunderland's 2-0 win in the FA Cup finished a miserable week for Arsenal, who also lost 4-0 to AC Milan at the San Siro on Wednesday night.
"We have to take the criticism on board, stay together and face the critics," said a defiant Wenger.
"It's very difficult to say where it leaves us and what we will do. The only response is to stay united and fight.
"We must focus on the next game, finish well in the league and fight, even if it's a small possibility, in the Champions League."
