FA expected to name England manager in May

03 March 2012 - 03:06

The FA have revealed that no replacement for Fabio Capello will be named until the end of the season. The favourite for the role continues to be Harry Redknapp, but he is still set to continue his Tottenham duties until the summer.

 • England are in no rush to name a successor yet, it seems, as the FA are still considering possible candidates for the vacant position.
"We've got a list. Long, short, there's definitely a list," FA general secretary Alex Horne said.
"We recognise that a lot of the managers on the list are employed and we don't want to interrupt anyone's season. We're not rushing this and we are expecting something at the back end of the season."
