Man City near new David Silva contract

Manchester City are preparing a massive new bumper pay day for star midfielder David Silva. The Spaniard has just 2 years remaining on his current deal, and is line for a £60m new 6 year deal.

  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • Silva joined Man City from Valencia for £24 million over a year and a half ago, and the Citizens are confident that they can agree a new contract with the winger who has been one of their most improved players this year.

“I’ve got two more years on my contract here. I’m going to see them through. After that, who knows? Football is a changeable game," said Silva last month.

However, City are just finalising the finishing touches to a brand new deal that will make the Spaniard the richest paid player at the Etihad Stadium.
