Manchester City are preparing a massive new bumper pay day for star midfielder David Silva. The Spaniard has just 2 years remaining on his current deal, and is line for a £60m new 6 year deal.

Silva joined Man City from Valencia for&nbsp;&pound;24 million over a year and a half ago, and the Citizens are confident that they can agree a new contract with the winger who has been one of their most improved players this year.<br />

&ldquo;I&rsquo;ve got two more years on my contract here. I&rsquo;m going to see them through. After that, who knows? Football is a changeable game," said Silva last month.<br />

However, City are just finalising the finishing touches to a brand new deal that will make the Spaniard the richest paid player at the Etihad Stadium.
