Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has explained the reasons why his club will complete a move for FC Koln striker Lukas Podolski in the summer. The Germany international will complete a 15m GBP move from the Bundesliga to the Gunners.
Arsene Wenger has been pursuing the German forward for over two months, and yesterday the BBC revealed that a deal has already been completed.<br />
Arsene Wenger explained the reasons why he is so happy to secure a move for the striker: “He can play for us because he can play central, right and left.<br />
"He has 95 caps for Germany and is 26 years old, which is the best age."<br />
Podolski reportedly handed in a transfer request last month due to a perceived lack of ambition by the Cologne side, and has been in contact with Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker in recent weeks.
