Tomas Rosicky signs new Arsenal deal

Tomas Rosicky signs new Arsenal deal

12 March 2012 - 15:08

Czech Republic captain Tomas Rosicky has put pen to paper on a new contract at the Emirates. The player has signed a fresh one year contract with the North London side, who he joined in 2006.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd can finally sign Ederson for huge bargain fee
  • Since arriving in 2006, Rosicky has played 156 times scoring 19 goals, but injuries and time on the substitutes bench have meant less playing time than he would have expected.<br />

But recent good performances and the faith of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger have ensured the Czech international would secure a new contract at the Emirates.<br />

<p id="story_continues_2">"It's a great honour to sign a new deal with Arsenal, I love the club and am proud to wear the Arsenal shirt," said Rosicky.<br />

"The manager, my team-mates, the staff and the supporters - everyone plays their part in making this a great club, and I feel privileged to be a part of it.<br />

"I believe we have a really talented group of players and, together with the manager, the future looks bright.<br />

"It's always been my goal to win trophies here at Arsenal, and I will fight hard to achieve my dreams here."
