Anderlecht chasing Chamakh

Anderlecht chasing Chamakh

16 March 2012 - 04:56

The Belgian side is keen on signing Arsenal's striker Marouane Chamakh. The Moroccan has been a huge disappointment in the Premier League with only two goals in his last 40 appearances for the Gunners.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • The 28-year old moved to Arsenal on a free transfer from Bordeaux in 2010. Although he had a bright start, he failed to impress Aresene Wenger off late. Moreover, RVP's current playing form suggests that Chamakh will not get enough playing mintues in the pitch.

Wenger is keen on adding Lukas Podolski to his striking department this summer, and that would require the Gunners to sell a few players who are surplus to the requirement. Chamakh who gets a hefty salary is supposed to be the first to be offloaded.

The latest reports from Belgium suggests that Anderlecht would be interested in a season long loan for the Moroccan striker.
