Klinsmann rules out Tottenham return

Klinsmann rules out Tottenham return

19 March 2012 - 03:47

USA national team manager Jurgen Klinsmann has effectively ruled himself out of the running to take over from Harry Redknapp at Tottenham, should the latter decide to move out of his role at White Hart Lane and into the vacant England position.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
 • Redknapp currently remains the first choice to take over the reins for the England national team, but both the FA and the manager himself are waiting until the end of the season before a decision can be made.
Jurgen Klinsmann was recently suggested as a front runner for the job should Redknapp step down.
But the German coach said: "It's just a wonderful club. But I am extremely proud and privileged to be US national team coach.
"Hopefully we will have, after qualification, a great World Cup in Brazil. Then, in soccer, just like in any other environment, you never know what will happen."
