Kalou planning to revive Chelsea career

29 March 2012 - 05:10

Salomon Kalou is hoping that his match winning performance against Napoli will help him revive his Chelsea career. The Ivory Coast international found himself on the substitute's bench under Andre Villas-Boas, but Roberto di Matteo has recalled him into the first team.

  • Chelsea have discussed move for Alejandro Garnacho
  • Newcastle make bid for Chelsea defender

  • The Chelsea frontman is hoping to play more regularly for the Blues over the coming weeks, as the West London side chase a Champions League qualification place by finishing in the top four.

“I have been told because I didn’t sign the contract I was not allowed to play,” Kalou said. “For me I respect every manager, I respect the choice.

“I feel maybe sometimes the club never gave me the opportunity to show what I can do. That is a really big frustration for me. Hopefully this is a new beginning and everything will be all right.”
