Balotelli heads for summer Man City exit

09 April 2012 - 06:57

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini yesterday admitted that Italian striker Mario Balotelli will probably be heading for the exit door in the summer transfer window. City slumped to a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal yesterday, seemingly ending City's title hopes, and Mario Balotelli also earned himself a red card for a rash challenge on Bacary Sagna.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • Balotelli will now be missing for six games and will probably miss the rest of the Premier League season. Yesterday in a post match interview after the game, manager Roberto Mancini admitted that Balotelli would be set for an exit in the summer. When asked if Balotelli would be sold, Mancini replied: "Probably."

"I like him as a guy and a player, he is not a bad guy and a fantastic player but I'm very sorry for him as he continues to lose his talent and his quality.

"I don't have any words for his behaviour. I hope for him he can understand he is in a bad way for his future and I really hope that he can change his behaviour in the future."

Manchester City have been linked with a surprise move for Robin van Persie as it appears Carlos Tevez and Balotelli could now both be heading for a summer exit.
