Fulham boss not sure about Dempsey future

09 April 2012 - 07:05

American international forward Clint Dempsey could be sold this summer by Fulham, after yet another impressive performance from the striker. Dempsey scored a brace as the Cottagers ran riot in a 3-0 win at Bolton.

 • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
 • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
 • Dempsey has now scored 15 Premier League goals and a further six in all other competitions, bringing his total tally to 21 goals this season.
With Clint Dempsey's contract expiring in just over 14 months, manager Martin Jol admitted that he does not know where the forward's future lies. There has been talk of a possible move to Manchester United or Tottenham.
"I can't foresee the future. We want to keep him and hopefully he wants to stay. We have offered him a very good contract. He knows he is very appreciated at our club, so hopefully he will stay.
"If we want to be a top side we need players who can score more than 20 goals in all competitions. I have always had that - I can remember Luis Suarez scoring 53 goals for me at Ajax.
"He's not at that level yet but of course it is a different league and, for a wide midfield player who can play up front and score that many goals, it is unbelievable."
