Celtic wants Forster switch permanent

Celtic wants Forster switch permanent

13 April 2012 - 06:36

Celtic boss, Neil Lennon, is set to open talks with on-loan goalkeeper Fraser Forster to make his switch permanent. Foster is in his second loan spell at Celtic from Newcastle United.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • Lennon is keen to hold on to the 24-year old giant keeper and commented that "We will speak to his agent in the next few weeks." Forseter had two memorable loan spells at the Glasgow club and have already won the Scottish Premier League this season.

Celtic is on course to win the Scottish Cup if they can get past Hearts in the semi-final. Lennon said that "The feeling he got on Saturday after winning the Premier League.. It would make him very difficult to leave the club".

Forster regularly played for Newcastle United reserves, however, never made in to the first team. He joined Celtic after a successful loan spell at Norwich City.
