"Moses is not for sale" - Martinez

21 April 2012 - 10:54

Wigan boss, Roberto Martinez, declared that he will no sell Victor Moses. The Spanish manager insists that two of his young players - Moses and McCarthy - are not for sale.

  • Chelsea to make approach for Morgan Rogers?
  • Chelsea star determined to join Barcelona?
  • Victor Moses has attracted interest from many Premier League clubs with QPR keen on signing the Nigerian international. Martinez said that Moses is one of the biggest assets of the club and will not be sold.

"He is not on the market, he is not for sale and that is the end of the matter. He has fantastic potential and has had great development in the last season. It would be wrong to sell him" said Martinez.

Wigan has been getting enquiries about Moses and James McCarthy - another fine young player. Martinez is keen to hold on to the two youngsters and fight off bids from other clubs. Wigan are currently fighting the relegation battle and they could save the players if they hang on to the Premier League.

It would be tough for Martinez to keep the players if the Latics are relegated.
