West Brom locked in talks with Hughton

28 May 2012 - 01:13

West Bromwich Albion chairman Jeremy Peace has opened talks with Birmingham City manager Chris Hughton. WBA are currently looking for a replacement for Roy Hodgson, who last month took over the reins as England manager.

 • 53-year-old Hughton was unable to guarantee promotion back to the Premier League for Birmingham City at the first attempt, and is reportedly desperate to manage in the country's top flight.
WBA have already discussed a possible move into the vacant role with Claudio Ranieri, who had spoken with Peace last week.
Hughton will reportedly only make a move to West Bromwich Albion should the club front suitable funds for a busy transfer spend this summer.
