Wilshere demands Walcott signs new deal

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has asked his team mate Theo Walcott to put pen to paper on a new contract at the Emirates. Walcott has so far stalled on agreeing a new deal with Arsene Wenger's team, and the Gunners are at risk of losing the winger on a free transfer in the summer.

  • Walcott has reportedly already turned down one contract at Arsenal, and Gunners' fans have called on the board to push for a larger salary for the England international.

Now, Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is hopeful that Walcott will stay at the club and sign a new deal.

Wilshere quipped: "Theo's future is down to him and the boss to sort out and I hope he signs. He has been great for us. He's an English lad and great to have around."

There have been reports of interest from Chelsea once his contract expires in the summer.
