Wigan want to keep Ali Al-Habsi

08 November 2012 - 05:47

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez is in no rush to sell goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi, despite the Omani international attracting the interest of some Premier League rival clubs including Liverpool.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Al-Habsi has been earmarked as a potential replacement for Pepe Reina at Liverpool should the Spaniard leave Anfield.

"We're in a good moment financially. We don't have to sell players and that's a real strength of ours," Martinez said.

"It's a really nice compliment for Ali and he's been outstanding since coming to the football club.

"We have a few players who are reaching a very good level of form and I'm not against having a lot of good football compliments."
