Newcastle target Austin eyes Burnley stay

08 November 2012 - 06:02

Burnley forward Charlie Austin has no plans to quit the club, despite reports of some interest from Premier League sides Newcastle and Wigan.

  • £47m star to undergo Chelsea medical on Friday
  • Chelsea make first move to sign French centre-back
  • "I'm here to play for Burnley football club," Austin told talkSPORT. "I'm enjoying my football at the moment and I long to stay here.

"Everything's going really well for me personally but, like I've said many times before in other interviews, without my team I wouldn't be able to get in these positions to score the goals."
