Raheem Sterling rejects Liverpool offer

10 November 2012 - 04:50

Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling has reportedly rejected the club's offer of a new contract at Anfield. The highly rated 17-year-old has shunned the Reds' initial offer of a £20,000 per week contract.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • It seems that Sterling's camp believes the player deserves more than double that, and according to some reports the player has demanded £50,000 per week.

Sterling has been a shining star in the Reds' first team this year despite a poor campaign and has already impressed Anfield supporters with a series of impressive displays.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is believed to be a huge fan of the youngster, and could bankroll a move for the player next summer should the player's contract situation continue.
