Newcastle want to keep Demba Ba

04 December 2012 - 06:06

After Demba Ba bagged a brace against Wigan in the Premier League last night, manager Alan Pardew maintained that his stance to keep the Senegalese forward hasn't changed despite the interest of Arsenal.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
 • There is a release clause in Ba's contract that means he could leave the club on the cheap in the summer should an offer be made from a bigger team.
"The situation has never changed, Demba loves it here and understands it's a football city," Pardew revealed.
"We've tried to do a deal and take the clause out, we've not managed it yet so it's always there hanging over us and that makes it difficult for me, for Demba and the club."
