Arsenal have agreed a deal that will see Brazilian full back Andre Santos swap the Emirates for a move back to his home country on loan until the end of the season. Gremio will pay his salary for the next 12 months.
Santos has struggled to force his way into the first team at Arsenal, partially due to the impressive form of young full back Kieron Gibbs and the new arrival of Nacho Monreal from Malaga during the January transfer window.
Gremio will have the option to sign Andre Santos on a permanent deal at the end of this current loan spell, a deal that will cost them around $4 million.
