Frank Lampard has been backed by manager Rafa Benitez after yet another inspired performance for Chelsea this past weekend. The England international scored against Wigan in a 4-1 rout.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • Lampard is currently in the midst of an ongoing contract tussle with the club, who have been unwilling to offer the midfielder a two year deal. Subsequently the player has been busy looking for a new club. Manchester United have been linked with a move for the player, whilst Brazil has been mentioned as a possible destination.<br />

Chelsea manager Benitez said of the midfielder: "He is a good professional. If he has no injuries he can still play at a good level."
