Aston Villa boss confident of survival

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert told reporters that his club are currently the in form side in the relegation battle, and remains confident that the team will secure safety in the coming weeks.

  • "We're the form team at the moment and the good thing is we're going into games playing well," Lambert said. "The feeling and positivity are good.<br />

    "The way we're playing, we are certainly capable of hurting teams. We've been down there for most of the year, so this situation is not new for us.<br />

     "What's happened now is we've brought teams into it who haven't been there yet, so now, all of a sudden, it's not certain what's going to happen.<br />

     "But the good thing for me is we're playing very well. You've got to handle the pressure that comes with being down there. Plus you're playing in one of the hardest leagues in Europe, never mind anything else. That's hard to do."
