There are indications that Wayne Rooney will put pen to paper on a brand new deal at Old Trafford, signalling his long term future to the club. PSG were believed to be interested in the striker.

Rooney has always been a favourite of Paris St Germain's director Leonardo, and there had been some talk of a potential move to France.<br />

However, Rooney looks set to extend his contract at Old Trafford as he signs a new five year contract with United.<br />

The 27-year-old has been locked in talks with Man Utd for over three weeks regarding a new deal.
