Luis Suarez happy at Liverpool

21 April 2013 - 11:29

Liverpool star striker Luis Suarez told journalists that he his long term future remains with his current club. The Uruguay international has been persistently linked with a move away from Anfield this year, after a scintillating campaign that has seen the striker score 29 goals in all competitions.

 • Man Utd handed major injury boost for Liverpool game
 • Chelsea set asking price for Nicolas Jackson
 • Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is a huge fan of the forward, and has admitted to reporters that his club could eventually pursue the player if he becomes available. But these latest comments from Suarez are sure to disappoint the City faithful, after the player told reporters he intends to stay at Anfield after the end of this campaign.
"I'll be here next season, yes. Not only am I playing for Liverpool, I am playing in one of the best leagues in the world," Suarez said. "I am very happy [at Liverpool] and I want to see out my contract, though in football you never know quite what's ahead.
"A club can decide they don't want you, even though you want to stay. In football things never turn out the way you plan."
