Newcastle make early move for Loic Remy

12 May 2013 - 04:41

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has started discussions with his board and chairman regarding a move for French forward Loic Remy. The Toon Army want to bring the QPR striker in as a permanent replacement for Demba Ba.

  • Arsenal to hijack Chelsea deal for English winger?
  • Arsenal & Chelsea battling to sign Ajax defender

  • Since losing Demba Ba to Chelsea, Newcastle fans feel that they have not adequately replaced the Senegalese striker. A move for Loic Remy would appease those fans, as the former Marseille striker has impressed in his first spell in the Premier League.

QPR will be unable to stop Remy quitting the club this summer, as there is a reported relegation release clause in his contract.
