Man City sack Roberto Mancini

Man City sack Roberto Mancini

14 May 2013 - 09:20

Manchester City have fired Roberto Mancini less than two days after their FA Cup final defeat to Wigan. It appears that the Man City board have had enough of the Italian and are reportedly tracking Manuel Pellegrini as their next coach.

  • Chelsea ready to pay €75m for Eduardo Camavinga
  • Chelsea planning move for Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli

  • After a less than impressive batch of results in both the league and European competition, City have decided to part ways with the Italian coach.

"Mancini had failed to achieve any of the club's targets, with the exception of qualification for next season's Champions League," said a statement on the City website.
