Manuel Pellegrini close to Man City move

30 May 2013 - 14:36

Malaga manager Manuel Pellegrini has all but confirmed he will be the new manager of Manchester City next season. Pellegrini has been lined up to replace Roberto Mancini, who had been fired at the end of last season.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip

  • Chilean manager Pellegrini is one of the most sought after coaches in world football, and the Citizens have won the race to sign the manager.

"I have a verbal agreement with them and I hope it is carried out," said Pellegrini.

"As of today, I don't have a signed contract.

"It is true that Manchester City have shown a lot of interest that I become their coach and I have had conversations with them.

"Until things have been signed, you cannot say everything is completely done."
