Gervinho hopes to stay with Arsenal

31 May 2013 - 14:52

Arsenal's troubled forward Gervinho has been linked with a move away from the Emirates this week. Lyon and Marseille are both interested in the Ivory Coast international. But the player today announced that his long term plan is to stay at his current club.

  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • Gervinho has endured a difficult time since arriving at Arsenal, with a series of inconsistent displays seeing the Gunners' faithful regularly express their disappointment at his performances.

Gervinho is hopeful that he will stay at Arsenal, though.

The forward quipped: "I have a contract until 2015 with Arsenal and I intend to honour it.

"There is always speculation in the papers, but I am looking forward to a good holiday and then to come back to Arsenal."
