Fulham have moved a step closer to sealing a 5 million Euro move for Maarten Stekelenburg, the Roma goalkeeper. The Dutch international has been a target for the Cottagers since January, when the London club almost wrapped up a deal for the shot stopper.
The 30-year-old keeper asked his Italian employers to leave the club earlier in the year, since then Fulham have maintained a strong interest in the keeper and will now look to rekindle a move with the deal.
Stekelenburg moved to Roma in 2011 and has been a first team regular at the club.
