Newcastle were hoping to bring former striker Andy Carroll back to the club, but their hopes to re-sign the striker have been dashed after Liverpool rejected the Toon's final offer of £10m.
West Ham United have already made a bid of £15m for the striker, which Liverpool are still considering. Newcastle's bid of £10m seems to be some way off of Liverpool's valuation.<br />
Brendan Rodgers remains committed to the fact that Carroll will not be an important member of his squad next year, even if Luis Suarez is sold to another team.
