Iago Aspas in Liverpool for medical

Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas is in Liverpool today finalising a move to Anfield. The Spain striker is expected at Melwood this afternoon to pass a medical before sealing a 10 million Euro deal.

Aspas will join Liverpool having scored 12 goals in Celta Vigo's season last year, but the Spanish club were not able to persuade the forward to stay for another year.<br />

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup had hoped to bring Aspas to Wales, but the player has opted for a move to the Reds instead.
