Coloccini dedicated to Newcastle cause

Coloccini dedicated to Newcastle cause

15 June 2013 - 09:12

Fabricio Coloccini no longer wants to quit the Toon Army. The Argentinian club captain demanded a transfer away from Newcastle in January, but in a surprise change of heart, the defender has decided to stay.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip
  • Gabriel Magalhaes to sign new Arsenal deal

  • What a difference six months has made for the centre back. Originally he requested a transfer, citing family problems and uncertain times at Newcastle as a reason for his request.

Despite that, manager Alan Pardew had clear the air talks with the club captain. Coloccini now wishes to stay at St. James' Park.

The defender will also sign a fresh contract in the coming weeks.
