Man City boss Pellegrini targets European success

15 June 2013 - 09:18

Manchester City's new coach Manuel Pellegrini admits that he would be foolish to ignore the fact that his clubs owners have told him they want to win the Champions League.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players

  • Pellegrini is a very highly rated coach but has had little success in terms of trophies at former clubs Villarreal and Malaga.

Despite that, he impressed in Europe last season with Malaga. Now European success is a target.

“With Málaga, I reached the quarter finals of the Champions League and with Villarreal also the quarter finals and semi-finals of the Champions League," he said. "All my experience will be useful for me to arrive here in Manchester and win the Champions League, that is my target."
