Bebe Eying A Sporting Lisbon Switch

17 June 2013 - 14:42

Manchester United attacker, Bebe, has been linked to a move to Sporting Lisbon this summer. His days at the Old Trafford seem to be coming to an end.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • The 22 year old has had an uncertain career so far at the Old Trafford after being signed for over 7 million pounds on the recommendation of assistant boss Carlos Queiroz, in August 2010. He made this move from Vitoria Guimaraes without having played a single game there.

Bebe has been loaned to Rio Ave, where he spent the second half of this season, scoring just a goal in the 17 appearances he made. He has confirmed his preference to return to Portugal permanently where he would have better opportunities to shape his career.

"I would love to play for Sporting"

"The club would suit me and it is an ambition of mine to play for sporting", said the forward.

About Sporting, he goes on to appreciate the faith they put in the young players and said that their gameplay suits his style.

"It is a club that can grow. I haven't found that in England"

A couple of months ago, Bebe, opened up for the first time when he slammed Sir Alex Ferguson for having ruined his career at Old Trafford.
