Pepe Reina ready to quit Liverpool

21 June 2013 - 04:43

Liverpool's number 1 goalkeeper Pepe Reina is very happy to stay at his current club, but the Spanish goalkeeper has also confessed that he is interested in a move away from the club if the right team makes an offer.

  • Man Utd agree deal with AC Milan for striker
  • Chelsea eyeing new centre-back after major injury blow

  • Barcelona have long been linked with a move for the shot stopper, with the player himself often admitting that he is happy to stay put at the club if necessary.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.

"I’m very happy and satisfied at Liverpool, I feel valued and respected," said Reina. "Logically, if there was a chance to improve and go to a bigger club it would be a good opportunity, although there are few clubs bigger than Liverpool.

"My situation is clear. I have a three-year contract with Liverpool and although in football you can never tell, the best option for my family is for me to stick with Liverpool."
