Wanyama a target for Southampton and Cardiff

Celtic defensive midfielder Victor Wanyama is a target for ambitious Premier League duo Southampton and Cardiff City. The Kenyan international has impressed at current club Celtic, and is now eager to make the move south to England.

  • The versatile youngster has been praised by many pundits north of the border, who are impressed with the youngster's drive and influence during a game.



    Southampton have reportedly tabled a bid of £7 million for the player, some way short of the £10 million valuation from Celtic. Meanwhile, Cardiff City had made their first enquiry for the player two weeks ago.



    The 21-year-old had earlier been linked with a move with Aston Villa, but manager Paul Lambert didn't have the budget to complete a deal.
