Spurs chasing Christian Benteke

The North London club are ready to offer £20m for Aston Villa's striker Christian Benteke in order to bring him to the White Hart Lane.

Christian Benteke has been labelled as one of the hottest prospects in the transfer market this summer after his excellent goal scoring feat with Aston Villa last season.<br />

Tottenham are ready to offer £20million for the Belgian International forward according to the Daily Star. Spurs are in dire need of a strong striker upfront to score goals frequently  and are ready to let Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe leave to fund moves for new strikers.<br />

David Villa and Leandro Damiao have both been linked with a move to White Hart Lane for the past few weeks but Benteke provides a better option due to his Premier League experience and strong upper body strength.<br />

Meanwhile ,Benteke’s desire to play in the Champions League has also caught the attention of Arsenal but Spurs look the most likely to get the star as the Gunners have other better options in mind.<br />
